GriddleMath vs Culvana
A truck already using Square may need a focused closeout tool. A kitchen replacing several operating systems may need a broader platform. Compare the scope as well as the price.

What would you actually replace?
If you are keeping Square and want to understand the food-cost margin from each event, GriddleMath adds ingredient costs and recorded waste to your existing sales workflow. It is free to start and built for one truck's closeout, with support for a small fleet. Your existing POS subscription and processing fees still apply.
If you want one system for a wider set of restaurant operations, evaluate Culvana against the combined tools it could replace. Its subscription buys a broader scope. Treating the entire difference as savings would be misleading if you still need separate inventory, purchasing, or accounting tools alongside GriddleMath.
Make recorded waste part of the evaluation
Ask each tool to show one real service: sales revenue, food cost for sold portions, discarded prep, and comps. Check which quantities must be entered and which arrive from your POS. A feature called recipe costing does not by itself establish that the workflow captures your truck's waste at closeout.
GriddleMath computes this per menu item per booking. It does not maintain perpetual stock, place purchase orders, run payroll, or produce your books. Its food-cost margin also excludes labor, fuel, event fees, and other overhead. Choose based on the work you need covered and the time you can spend entering data.
Try a booking you already know
Cost one dish using a recent invoice and a measured portion. Import a completed booking's sales, then record what you actually discarded and comped. Compare the recipe margin with the closeout result before deciding whether the workflow fits your truck.
